If you are open to the joy of light, space, colour and smiles, and are prepared to slow down and open your mind to a different way of life, The Marigold Hotel Rajasthan 12 days tour is sure to charm you.
Few things inspire travel like a good movie. After watching The Lord Of The Rings, hordes flocked to New Zealand, while The Beach, set in exotic Thailand, gave rise to a million backpacker adventures. I was so captivated by Eric Valli's Himalaya that I went to see a remote region of Nepal. So will The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel entice cinema-goers to India? quite probably.
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is actually in Ravla Khempur, a charming rural palace hotel in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan, about an hour outside the spectacular lakeside city of Udaipur. It is Rural India that really seduces the modern tourist. This is Kipling's India, a land of bullock carts and bicycles, of elegant, sari-clad women carrying water urns from the wells, of turbaned men working in the fields - the India of our childhood imagination, not the superfast India of the 21st Century.
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will inspire people to step out of their comfort zone and into one of the most fascinating, diverse, historically rich, romantic and, above all, beautiful places on Earth.
To coincide with the release of new British movie, the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS had put together this new and exciting private journey that not only takes in some of the sites of this much-talked about film, but also has you staying at locations where the movie was shot based on the availability of the hotels. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is in Ravla Khempur, a charming rural palace hotel situated about an hour to the north of Udaipur. Combining this with more famous sites in Delhi, Agra – including the Taj Mahal – Jaipur and Udaipur will give you a great blend of both the mainstream and the offbeat, in one of India’s most colourful locations.

“We are back from our Marigold Tour to India and want to let you know that the trip was fantastic. From the magnificent Taj Mahal to the tiny village of Khempur it was a new experience every day. The cities and monuments we visited, the hotels, the guides and the food were all exceptional. We would particularly like to commend our driver, Mr. Dharma, who was such a gentleman, always cheerful and informative and the most skillful driver we have ever seen!
Once again, many thanks for arranging such an amazing holiday.” – Patricia Robinson & Shaughn Forbes, Australia
