Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Day 02: Delhi

Today start full day tour of old and New Delhi. Later in the evening discover the culinary secrets of the Muhglai Cuisine passed on from one generation to another. Later enjoy your welcome dinner you will sample the most delicate kabab cooked to perfection in Tandoor. (B,L,D)


Day 03: Delhi - Varanasi (By Flight TBA)

Today after breakfast we board morning flight to Varanasi. We enjoy afternoon at the Silk weaving village witnessing the art of silk weaving and shop for beautiful souvenirs. Evening see the grand prayer ceremony at the Ghats and stay two nights in Varanasi. (B,L,D)


Day 04: Varanasi

Today enjoy heritage walk and sunrise boat ride on river Ganges. After breakfast enjoy city tour and afternoon excursion to Sarnath where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon at the deer park after his enlightenment. (B,D)


Day 05: Varanasi – Agra (By Flight TBA)

Today board flight to Agra, the home of the Taj Mahal, afternoon visit Marble inlay workshop. Stay two nights in Agra. (B,L,D)


Day 06: Agra

Early morning watch the sunrise over the Taj Mahal. After breakfast visit the impressive 16th century Agra Fort, Tomb of Itimad ud Daulah, While returning we visit Jewell carpet handicraft factory  and evening free to relax or explore this famous town. (B,L,D)


Day 07: Agra – Jaipur

Today travel to Jaipur, En-route we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri. Rest of the evening explore bazaar which offers a variety that ranges from chunky tribal Jewellery to enamelled gold to modern diamond jewellery. Stay two nights at Jaipur. (B,L,D)


Day 08: Jaipur

Today travel to the Amber Fort, through a succession of vast gates, on the back of an elegantly painted elephant – ‘The Maharaja style’. Evening excursion to Sanganer to see textiles that are renowned all over India and abroad for their hand printed goods. (B,L,D)


Day 09: Jaipur – Deogarh Palace

Today experience rural village life and stay in none other than Deogarh Mahal. Evening free to explore the village and enjoy two nights stay at the Deogarh Mahal. (B,L,D)


Day 10: Deogarh Palace

Today relax and pamper, have a leisurely breakfast and meet our local Heena painting experts who will surprise you with the design in your both hand and feet while you relax. Day 11: Deogarh - Jodhpur

Today travel to Jodhpur, a city founded in 1459 A.D. Evening explore famous Sadar bazaars in the heart of the city, this is one of the largest markets of Indian Spices and textile. (B,L,D)


Day 12: Jodhpur

Today, visit Jaswant Thada and Mehrangarh Fort. Rest of the day free for shopping silverware, quilts, fabrics, leather goods, paintings, embroidered shoes, Jodhpur breeches or Jodhpuris and a range of souvenirs. (B,L,D)


Day 13: Jodhpur – Mumbai (By Flight TBA)

Today after buffet breakfast, transfer to Jodhpur airport to board flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival Mumbai airport, transfer to hotel. Rest of the evening is free to enjoy shopping. Stay two nights in Mumbai. (B,L,D)


Day 14: Mumbai

Today enjoy half day city tour and visit the Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Hanging Gardens, the Gothic Victoria Terminus; and the stately Prince of Wales Museum. Afternoon is free for shopping at the local markets in Mumbai. (B,L,D)


Day 15: Depart Mumbai

International Flights

The tour packages are usually “Land Only” and do not include international flights.  We therefore recommend that you contact us or your travel agent to book your flights well in advance of travel, when you can generally gain access to specials and discounted airfares. This will ensure you can travel on the days that suit you and your tour.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory on all of our journeys. Speak to us or your travel agent about comprehensive insurance to cover your travel arrangements. This must critically cover medical expenses in case of an emergency.  Note that travel insurance automatically provided with credit cards generally does not provide adequate cover. Its your responsibility to ensure that you have appropriate and comprehensive travel insurance.

Medical Information

Our elderly travellers who are aged 70 years or more, or with a per-existing condition that affects their fitness to travel or any medical dietary requirement, must be advised at the time of booking. We recommend all travellers should visit their Doctor for these aforementioned purposes and/or to confirm that they are physically able to undertake the day-to-day requirements of the tour.

Selecting Your Holiday Type

Most of our journeys are suited to those with normal fitness and mobility levels. To assist you in choosing a journey best for you we have graded our tours;

Easy Paced: These programs are set at a comfortable pace. Walking and climbing of stairs involved is generally in and around major tourist attractions though you may require walking from road till boat jetty while embarking or disembarking boats.

Moderate: These tours are not strenuous but you will require good amount of fitness as they may include days with long periods of walking or soft trekking, climbing of stairs, embarking and disembarking boats and where longer distances may be travelled by uneven roads.

Adventurous: These refer to programs where your physical fitness needs to be on highest level. Trekking, cycling, climbing, walking and more adventurous activities may be included.

Getting Around

Comfort is our first priority. All our coaches are air-conditioned with push back seats. We even offer 30-35 seater coach when only 16 people are in a group, providing everyone a window seats. Our train journeys in air-conditioning sleeper class where bedding is provided by the train attendant and itineraries that include domestic flight to connect destination we use economy class.

Passport & Visas

India: Visa is required for all foreign nationals. 

Apply online for a Pre-Approval at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html .The online application should be submitted a minimum of 4 days in advance and a maximum of 30days of the proposed date of travel. TVOA links may also be found in websites of Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Bureau of Immigration, Incredible India etc.

As of 27 Nov 2014 nationals and passport holder of 34 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Finland, Luxem Bourg, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar to name a few,  can avail a Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) facility upon disembarking at international airports Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi and Trivandrum only. You will require to pay fees along with require documentation and is subject to verification and satisfaction of the Immigration. Please contact High Commission of India for updated information.

Sri Lanka: Every tourist visiting Sri Lanka required visa prior to departure. Visa must be obtained atleast 01 months prior to arrival in Sri Lanka by visiting www.eta.gov.lk The Tourist visa is valid for stay within 30 days. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel to Sri Lanka. Fee will apply.

Nepal: Visa is required for all foreign nationalities and the best way to apply for visa is from the Royal Nepalese diplomatic missions in your home country. Tourist Visa also can be obtained on arrival. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel in Nepal. Fee will apply.

Bhutan: All foreign nationals require visa for Bhutan.

Visa can be arranged by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS. To process this we require clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) and current colour passport photograph and at least 30 days prior to date of entry into Bhutan. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan.

Tourism Council of Bhutan issues visa clearance letter closer to travelling date which we email or fax you or your local travel agent. Travellers are required to produce aforesaid visa clearance copy at the time of check-in for their flights while those entering Bhutan by surface via Phuentsholing or Samdrup Jonkhar, they are required to produce this Visa Clearance letter at the Immigration counter. Actual visa is stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan.

Visa only service is not offered in Bhutan, you would have to book a service tour package from TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS that includes accommodation, guided tours, transfers etc

Myanmar: Visa is required for all nationalities.

Visa can be arranged by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS. To process this we require international flight details, clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) and current colour passport photograph and at least 30 days prior to date of entry into Myanmar. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Myanmar.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi (By Flight: TBA)

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our Tour Manager at the airport lounge with a TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS signboard. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at Delhi. (No Meals)


Day 02: Delhi

After buffet breakfast start your sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Drive pass the renowned 17th-century landmark Lal Qila; the Red Fort Palace, Jama Masjid literally meaning the Friday Mosque; India’s principal and biggest mosque, Chandni Chowk; Shahjahanabad’s Main Street in 1650 facing the majestic Red Fort. It originally had a central canal running down its full length, and when moonlight reflected off the water it got the name Chandni Chowk or ‘Avenue of Moonlight’. The canals have long since gone and it is now a chaotically bustling area, typical of real India, containing a mix of stalls, shops, food outlets and temples. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most photogenic journey of the tour. The locals go shopping here like nowhere else. Also visit Gandhi Memorial; the simple black marble slab honouring Mahatma Gandhi, Qutab Minar; the 234-step tower dating to 1193. Also drive past India Gate; that honours the 90,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War, President House and Parliament house. Also visit Humayun’s Tomb. Overnight at Delhi. (B,L,D)


Day 03: Delhi - Varanasi (By Flight)

Have a leisurely buffet breakfast before a transfer to the Delhi airport to flight to Varanasi. Abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, the origins of Varanasi are yet unknown. Ghats of Varanasi are natural supplement to the concept of divinity and is known as the city that liberates soul from human body to ultimate. Varanasi abounds in the art of silk weaving, an exotic work of art which manifests itself in precious Banarasi silk saris and silk brocades which are cherished as collector’s items across the world, even today. The city is also renowned for its rich tapestry of music, arts, crafts and education. On arrival transfer for the hotel for check-in. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the local markets for Banarasi silk. Later in the evening witness grand prayer ceremony on the ghats of river Ganges. Overnight at Varanasi. (B,L,D)


Day 04: Varanasi

Wake up early morning and proceed to enjoy the sunrise boat ride on river Ganges. The river will be thronged with early morning bathers, raising their faces to the rising sun and reciting the sacred mantra. One can see the perpetual movement of the pilgrims on the steps, the vivid colours of their clothes glistening against the pale gold water, the triangular flags fluttering atop the temple spires. Varanasi is associated with promotion of spiritualism, mysticism and Sanskrit, yoga and Hindi language. Visit the Banaras ghat, Asi ghat & various other ghats. Return back to hotel for buffet breakfast. After breakfast, proceed for morning city tour of Varanasi visiting various temples. Afternoon take an excursion to Sarnath where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon at the deer park after his enlightenment. Sarnath is one of the four holy Buddhist sites sanctioned by the Buddha himself for pilgrimage. Sarnath is one of the richest in Buddhist antiquities ranging in date from the times of Ashoka down to the 12th century A.D Ashoka, who built here the Dharmarajika Stupa and nearby is a pillar surmounted by the magnificent capital of four adorned Lions, which today forms the national emblem of India. Day 05: Varanasi - Agra

After breakfast we board flight to Agra the home of the Taj Mahal, the city is still associated with the Mughals who were great builders. Afternoon visit Marble inlay workshop to see remaining artesian creating masterpiece with marble and precious gem stone and stay two nights in Agra. (B,L,D)


Day 06: Agra

Early morning watch the sunrise over the Taj Mahal (Closed on all Fridays). The world's greatest monument to love and devotion with its superb craftsmanship of semi-precious stones inlaid into the marble in beautiful patterns, a process known as pietra dura. As you pass through the gates, words cannot do justice to your first close up view of the world’s most famous building. It was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Empress Mumtaz. Return to the hotel for buffet breakfast. Later visit the impressive 16th century Agra Fort, which was started in 1565 by Akbar with later additions made by his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan. Continue to the white marble Tomb of Itimad ud Daulah, commissioned by the wife of Jahangir in 1622 as the tomb for her father. Described as 'jewel box' or the 'Baby Taj', it is regarded by many as a draft of the Taj Mahal, being the first building to be coated in white marble inlaid with very detailed pietra dura inlay. While returning we visit Marble factory to witness some of the remaining artesian creating same work seeing on the Taj Mahal. Overnight at Agra. (B,L,D)


Day 07:  Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (Approx 260 kms; 05 hrs drive)

After buffet breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jaipur. En-route we stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, known as the deserted city of the Mughals which was built at the orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. While Akbar himself was illiterate, he took keen interest in literature, architecture and arts. The buildings at Fatehpur Sikri blend together Hindu and Islamic elements as seen in their architecture. One has to pay special interest as the guide unfolds the mystery of this great city and why was it abandoned by the Mughals. Later continue travel to Jaipur; the first planned city of India, is a treasure-trove of culture, art and history, famous for its colour, life style and Rajasthani cuisine. It is a city exuding royal heritage and extravagant richness. The historic city also has many temples and shrines. On reaching Jaipur, check-into the hotel. Rest of the evening explore world famous jewellery bazaar which offers a variety that ranges from chunky tribal Jewellery to enamelled gold to modern diamond jewellery. In Rajasthan, men and women can be seen sporting necklaces, armlets, anklets, earrings and rings. Silver is more commonly worn by the rural women and is certainly more affordable for a shopper. Jaipur is well known for its gold and silver enamelling. Colourful bangles and set with semiprecious stones make an inexpensive buy. Overnight at Jaipur. (B,L,D)


Day 08: Jaipur

After breakfast enthral yourself on a journey up the rampants to Amber Fort, through a succession of vast gates, on the back of an elegantly painted elephant – ‘The Maharaja style’. Inside are the ruins of what was once a great palace, a wonderful example of Rajput architecture with Mughal influences, next visit Jantar Mantar open air astronomical observatory built in the same era. We stop at the Hawa Mahal ‘Palace of the Winds’ facade for photo stop. Behind the façade the ladies of the court could watch the busy activities in the street below without being seen. Evening excursion to Sanganer. Sanganer textiles are renowned all over India and abroad for their hand printed goods, for their delicate designs and bright colours. A distinctive feature of Sanganer prints is that the colourful designs in all possible colours are printed on the white backgrounds. Block printed and screen-printed fabrics of Sanganer are equally popular. See for yourself the way in which they prepare the textiles with the help of hand block prints. Day 09: Jaipur - Deogarh Palace 

Travel to experience rural village life which once was a very important area of Mewar aristocracy. Our stay will be none other than Deogarh Mahal, a truly remarkable luxury palace hotel where every room of the palace tells the story of by gone era. Evening free to explore the village and enjoy two nights stay at the Deogarh Mahal. (B,L,D)


Day 10: Deogarh Palace

This is the day to relax and pamper so have a leisurely breakfast and meet our local Heena painting experts who will surprise you with the design in your both hand and feet while you relax and see why Heena is so important in every Indian wedding and functions. In the afternoon rejuvenate with Ayurveda oil massage and evening explores the village before concluding your day with dinner at the hotel. (B,L,D)


Day 11: Deogarh Palace– Jodhpur 

After breakfast travel to the city of Jodhpur, a city founded in 1459 A.D. and seems like an oasis in the vast desert. Visit the bazaars and witness a living proof of its traditions, culture and glorious past personified through its amazing monuments. The city is known as the Sun City for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all year. It is also referred to as the Blue City due to the blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. On arrival check into the hotel and relax until late afternoon. Evening visit Sadar Bazaar in the heart of the city, this market is one of the largest markets of Indian Spices and textile. Day 12: Jodhpur

After buffet breakfast gather at the lobby for guided sightseeing of Jodhpur. Experience the feeling of travelling back in time, while you catch a glimpse of the splendour and magnificence of this ancient desert city built on the edge of the Thar Desert. The folks here wear nice and lovely multihued costumes. One of the unique features of the culture is the colourful turbans worn by men. We visit Jaswant Thada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble built in 1899 A.D. in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Within the main cenotaph are the portraits of various Jodhpur rulers. Our next stop is the Mehrangarh Fort One of the largest forts in India; it is unsurpassed in beauty and grandeur. Innumerable palaces in the fort, interspersed with sprawling courtyards, are intricately carved. A unique feature of this palace is the fact that the hand chiselled sandstone blocks have been put together in a special system of interlocking, there is not mortar binding. A portion of the palace has been converted into a hotel, the other remains on view to visitors in form of excellent museum which houses model airplanes, weapons, antique clocks and bob watches, priceless crockery, and hunting trophies. Both sections retain the ambience of royal splendour. Rest of the evening is free for shopping. A treasure trove for shoppers, Jodhpur bazaars are teeming with an array of handicrafts. One can shop for white metal curios, silverware, quilts, tie-and-die fabrics, leather goods, wooden toys, paintings, embroidered shoes, Jodhpur breeches or Jodhpuris and a range of souvenirs. Day 13: Jodhpur – Mumbai (By Flight)

After buffet breakfast, transfer to Jodhpur airport to board flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival Mumbai airport, transfer to hotel. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the evening is free to enjoy shopping. Mumbai is not only famous for the international fashion brands and labels, but is also home to a wide assortment of local markets, boutiques and shopping malls that sell almost everything that a local Mumbaikar needs! The markets are located at suburbs and if you are good at bargaining, you can get items for half the price. In Mumbai, you can find the latest outfits, unique furniture, delicate brass work, exquisite paintings, home furnishings and so much more! There are many malls in Mumbai that not only comprises of shops but food courts and entertainment zones as well. A shopper's paradise, Mumbai is truly a great shopping destination for all. Day 14: Mumbai

Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel. Feel and experience Mumbai, a bubblegum glamour of Bollywood cinema, shopping malls full of designer labels, promenading families eating Bhelpuri on the beach at Chowpatty and red double-decker buses queuing in grinding traffic jams. Take half day tour of Mumbai. Visit the Gateway of India, the most visible landmark of the British Raj built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V; Marine Drive; Hanging Gardens; the Gothic Victoria Terminus; and the stately Prince of Wales Museum. After the Mumbai city tour, enjoy shopping at the local markets in Mumbai.
