We start from Delhi the capital of India and experience the vibrant culture, beautiful monument, largest wholesale vegetable and flower market. While travelling to Chandigarh witness the country side farming, where methods are being developed for transfer of technology from conventional method of farming. In Agra, visit the Taj Mahal one of the wonders of the world and two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted city of the Mughals. We then travel to Jaipur, one of the colourful states of rajasthan and enjoy an elephant ride as you climb up Amber Fort, City Palace Museum containing collection of weaponary, miniature paintings, royal attire and jewellery and stop for a photo at the Wind Palace built for the ladies of the court to watch busy street below. Continue our journey to Bikaner for glimpse of ancient culture and tonga ride through the town. Visit a camel breeding farm before making our way to Jodhpur to witness Mehrangarh Fort, a rural spice market with an excursion to the Bishnoi Village.

Day 1: Delhi

On arrival at the airport, meet your Tour Manager who will assist you to transfer to the hotel. Stay three nights in Delhi. (No Meals) 


Day 2: Delhi

After breakfast and brief introduction of the city by the Tour Manager we enjoy sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid enjoy rickshaw ride through famous and colourful  Chandni Chowk bazaar where locals go for shopping like no where else. We drive past India Gate, President House and Parliament house before visiting  Humayun Tomb. Evening get together to enjoy our welcome dinner before and conclude the day. (B,L,D)


Day 3: Delhi

An early morning start to visit vegetable and flower wholesale market at Ghazipur. Vegetables not only from various states of India but also from overseas are auctioned here where else designer florists, wedding planners and event managers to small scale vendors, everyone buys flowers from this flower market. Witnessing this large scale of wholesale market where is surly give you an idea as to how country easily cope feeding over a billion people.

Return back to the hotel for breakfast before visiting local dairy farm. India is one of the largest producers of milk in the world, however production is done in small households to medium dairy farms, each averaging 10-20 cattle. Interestingly apart from metro cities milk still distributed through bicycle, motor bike or through local sweet shop. (B,L,D)


Day 4: Delhi- Chandigarh

Travel up north to Chandigarh as the region known as granary of India, en-route stopping at Karnal to visit the new generation dairy farm utilising modern techniques to produce high yields at their farm. Minimalistic use of chemical, synthetic fertilizers and pesticide are used to ensuring the product to be organic and toxic free.

Next to nights we will stay at country side farm nestled amidst 25 acres of farm land with fare measure of Mango and Guava trees amongst, other offering great opportunity to experience unexplored area. (B,L,D)


Day 5: Chandigarh

Today we spend day at farm with our host to understand pros and corn of Indian farming and how local farmer combine modern technology yet keeping it traditional. During the day we will participate in farming activities and enjoy typical farmer lunch under the tree. Day 6:  Chandigarh – Delhi

Today we enjoy city sightseeing tour of Chandigarh, the capital of the states of the Punjab and Haryana set at the foothills of the majestic Himalayas was planned by the French architect Le Corbusier after India’s independence. Visiting world-acclaimed Rock Garden, dotted with sculptures created from scrap materials and unusual rock formations, Sukhna Lake and Zakir Rose Garden known as Asia’s largest rose garden spread over 27 acres dotted with more than 17,000 rose bushes embracing 1,600 species and dramatic colour fountains.

Afternoon drive back to Delhi and stay overnight in Delhi. (B,L,D)


Day 7: Delhi – Agra 

Today we travel to Agra, the city that flourished under the patronage of Mughals and attracted artisans from many countries to built amazing monuments and a testimony of the undying love of a king for his queen. Afternoon start your sightseeing tour with impressive 16th century Agra Fort and conclude your day with sunset visit to The Taj Mahal. Stay overnight in Agra. (B,L,D)


Day 8: Agra – Jaipur 

Travel to Jaipur, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar and now known as the ghost town. Evening explore colourful bazaar before concluding your day with dinner and stay two nights in Jaipur. (B,L,D)


Day 09: Jaipur 

Start the with excursion to Amber Fort; add a magical touch to the visit by riding on the back of an elephant from the foot of the hill up to the gates of the fortress in the manner of former kings and queens. After lunch visit the Maharaja's City Palace, the home of the erstwhile royal family and the Observatory. Make a photo stop at Hawa Mahal when driving past old part of Jaipur city. Evening enjoy traditional Rajasthani dinner at ethnic restaurant. (B,L,D)


Day 10: Jaipur – Bikaner

We travel to Bikaner, city was the centre of art and culture of medieval India. This desert city has a stark beauty which is totally unique, with wide-spread dunes, the moonlit glittering beauty and desert agility, marvellous palaces and temples, archaeological treasures, all combining to making it a lasting charm.  Enjoy your dinner and two nights stay in Bikaner. Day 11: Bikaner 

Morning, proceed for the city sightseeing tour and visit 15th century old Junagarh For, Lalgarh Palace and enjoy Tonga ride through old Bikaner to witness locals sitting at their community squire and wedding to politics are discussed over a tea. Afternoon we visit to Camel breeding farm run by government before returning back to the hotel. (B,L,D)


Day 12: Bikaner – Jodhpur 

Experience the feeling of travelling back in time as we travel to Jodhpur. The city founded in 1459 A.D also referred to as the Blue City of Rajasthan due to its blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. Evening we explore one of the largest spice market and enjoy dinner and two nights in Jodhpur. (B,L,D)


Day 13: Incredible Rural Experience 

Today we go off the normal touristy route to enjoy this incredible rural experience and opportunity to meet local tribes and village people living in there traditional mud houses. Witness wildlife and birdlife around the village as well as pottery making before enjoying picnic lunch at scenic spot. Evening share the stories of the locals and enjoy traditional village diner cooked over wood fire. If interested have fun participating and learn to cook few local recipes which can not be found anywhere. Sundown return back to hotel. (B,L,D)


Day 14: Jodhpur Departure

After leisurely breakfast tour finishes with transfer to Jodhpur airport and board flight to Delhi or Mumbai which connect to your onward journey. (B)

The tour packages are usually “Land Only” and do not include international flights.  We therefore recommend that you contact us or your travel agent to book your flights well in advance of travel, when you can generally gain access to specials and discounted airfares. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory on all of our journeys. Speak to us or your travel agent about comprehensive insurance to cover your travel arrangements. This must critically cover medical expenses in case of an emergency.  Note that travel insurance automatically provided with credit cards generally does not provide adequate cover. Its your responsibility to ensure that you have appropriate and comprehensive travel insurance.

Medical Information

Our elderly travellers who are aged 70 years or more, or with a per-existing condition that affects their fitness to travel or any medical dietary requirement, must be advised at the time of booking. We recommend all travellers should visit their Doctor for these aforementioned purposes and/or to confirm that they are physically able to undertake the day-to-day requirements of the tour.

Selecting Your Holiday Type

Most of our journeys are suited to those with normal fitness and mobility levels. To assist you in choosing a journey best for you we have graded our tours;

Easy Paced: These programs are set at a comfortable pace. Walking and climbing of stairs involved is generally in and around major tourist attractions though you may require walking from road till boat jetty while embarking or disembarking boats.

Moderate: These tours are not strenuous but you will require good amount of fitness as they may include days with long periods of walking or soft trekking, climbing of stairs, embarking and disembarking boats and where longer distances may be travelled by uneven roads.

Adventurous: These refer to programs where your physical fitness needs to be on highest level. Trekking, cycling, climbing, walking and more adventurous activities may be included.

Getting Around

Comfort is our first priority. All our coaches are air-conditioned with push back seats. We even offer 30-35 seater coach when only 16 people are in a group, providing everyone a window seats. Our train journeys in air-conditioning sleeper class where bedding is provided by the train attendant and itineraries that include domestic flight to connect destination we use economy class.

Passport & Visas

India: Visa is required for all foreign nationals. 

Apply online for a Pre-Approval at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html .The online application should be submitted a minimum of 4 days in advance and a maximum of 30days of the proposed date of travel. TVOA links may also be found in websites of Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Bureau of Immigration, Incredible India etc.

As of 27 Nov 2014 nationals and passport holder of 34 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Finland, Luxem Bourg, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar to name a few,  can avail a Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) facility upon disembarking at international airports Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad, Kochi and Trivandrum only. You will require to pay fees along with require documentation and is subject to verification and satisfaction of the Immigration. Please contact High Commission of India for updated information.

Sri Lanka: Every tourist visiting Sri Lanka required visa prior to departure. Visa must be obtained atleast 01 months prior to arrival in Sri Lanka by visiting www.eta.gov.lk The Tourist visa is valid for stay within 30 days. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel to Sri Lanka. Fee will apply.

Nepal: Visa is required for all foreign nationalities and the best way to apply for visa is from the Royal Nepalese diplomatic missions in your home country. Tourist Visa also can be obtained on arrival. Passport must be valid for at least six months before you commence travel in Nepal. Fee will apply.

Bhutan: All foreign nationals require visa for Bhutan.

Visa can be arranged by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS. To process this we require clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) and current colour passport photograph and at least 30 days prior to date of entry into Bhutan. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan.

Tourism Council of Bhutan issues visa clearance letter closer to travelling date which we email or fax you or your local travel agent. Travellers are required to produce aforesaid visa clearance copy at the time of check-in for their flights while those entering Bhutan by surface via Phuentsholing or Samdrup Jonkhar, they are required to produce this Visa Clearance letter at the Immigration counter. Actual visa is stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan.

Visa only service is not offered in Bhutan, you would have to book a service tour package from TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS that includes accommodation, guided tours, transfers etc

Myanmar: Visa is required for all nationalities.

Visa can be arranged by TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS. To process this we require international flight details, clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) and current colour passport photograph and at least 30 days prior to date of entry into Myanmar. Remaining validity of passport should be at least 6 months from the date of exit from Myanmar.

Day 1: Delhi

Arrive at Delhi International Airport.  Please clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. TOTAL HOLIDAY OPTIONS Tour Manager will page you by your name. Thereafter you will be assisted with a transfer to the hotel for three nights stay. (No Meals)


Day 2: Delhi

After buffet breakfast and short briefing by Tour Manager start your sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Jama Masjid literally meaning the Friday Mosque, India’s principal and biggest mosque. Chandni Chowk, Shahjahanabad’s Main Street in 1650, facing the majestic Red Fort. It originally had a central canal running down its full length, and when moonlight reflected off the water it got the name Chandni Chowk or ‘Avenue of Moonlight’. The canals have long since gone and it is now a chaotically bustling area, typical of real India, containing a mix of stalls, shops, food outlets and temples. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most photogenic journey of the tour. Day 6:  Chandigarh – Delhi 

Today we enjoy city sightseeing tour of Chandigarh, is famed as a well-planned city with elegant structures and lovely gardens. This beautiful city, which is the administrative capital of both Punjab and Haryana, sprawls over an extent of 114 sq km. The history of modern town of Chandigarh is the innovation, skill and teamwork of some celebrated persons, who made possible the formidable task of erecting a sophisticated township out of a cluster of farming fields. The wonderful team led by the French architect Le Corbusier is the progressive spirit behind the modernization of Chandigarh.

Your sightseeing tour will take you to visit the famous Rock Garden, also known as Nek Chand’s rock garden after its founder; it is completely built of industrial & home waste and thrown away items. Vision of a single man, spread over 40 acres, the rock garden is a perfect example of creating beautiful artwork out of the waste. Visit the Sukhna late in the vicinity. Visit the Rose Garden and Capitol Complex, which is one of the most beautiful examples of architecture of Le Corbusier. The complex currently houses the Punjab and Haryana Government offices currently and will be seen from outside. Drive through sector 14 residential area to understand the architecture of the city.Afternoon drive back to Delhi and stay overnight in Delhi. (B,L,D)


Day 7: Delhi – Agra 

Today we travel to Agra, the city that flourished under the patronage of Mughals and attracted artisans from many countries to built amazing monuments and a testimony of the undying love of a king for his queen. Afternoon start your sightseeing tour with impressive 16th century Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar, its construction commenced in 1565 and was completed in 1571. It is built with red sandstone and is a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture. Conclude your day with sunset visit to The Taj Mahal. Stay overnight in Agra. (B,L,D)


Day 8: Agra – Jaipur (Approx. 230 kms; 05 hrs drive) 

After breakfast check out and drive towards JaipurEn route visit Fatehpur Sikri an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 1571 Akbar constructed Fatehpur (Victory) Sikri city as the new capital of the Mughal Empire, replacing the perfectly viable Agra, just 37 km away, which was left almost deserted. But after only fifteen years, Fatehpur itself was abandoned and left as an evocative ghost-town, because, they say, of a lack of water. The perfectly preserved red sandstone buildings consist of palaces, courtyards, a life-size chess board, tombs and mosques. Akbar was most interested in his food, and it was during his regime that Mughal food was perfected. You’ll also see the emperor’s private kitchen (not in the guide books) still showing the soot from the cookers. Visit the Diwan-e-Khas (Private Audience Hall) with its remarkable central pillar. Also unmissable is Panch Mahal, the five storied structure, used as the viewing station for the hareem. Later continue your travel towards Jaipur we stop at some interesting spot to see the traditional water wheel, wells & other irrigation methods which were and are still being used by farmers.  Day 09: Jaipur 

Morning after an early breakfast proceed to visit the Amber Fort, the ancient capital of Rajasthan and the majestic palace complex to witness a unique system of air-conditioning of 17th century. The most enthralling experience of Amber Fort is the gaily decorated elephant ride. A beautiful complex of Palaces, halls, pavilions, garden and temples built by Raja Mansingh, Mirza Raja Jaisingh and Sawai Jaisingh over a period of about two centuries, it still stands in magnificent state. The red sandstone and white Marble palace has some very interesting apartments- Diwan-I-Am, Ganesh Pol, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Jai Mandir, Man Singh Palace and Shila Devi Temple. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace Museum; boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings, preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas),  and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world, Photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace); built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh at a time when women of the royal family had to observe strict purdah, it is believed that this palace was built for them to take pleasure in the processions and various activities taking place in the streets below without showing themselves and thus enjoying a sense of freedom, Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh is a complex of astronomical instruments, chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to this day.

Later visit a farm belonging to a progressive farmer where one can see crop and vegetable cultivation. Visit a “Mandi” – which is a wholesale market for farmers to sell their daily procedure. Evening enjoy traditional Rajasthani Dinner at ethnic restaurant. (B,L,D)


 Day 10:Jaipur – Bikaner 

After breakfast check out of the hotel and travel to Bikaner. Bikaner lies in the north-western part of Rajasthan and was the centre of art and culture of medieval India. This desert city has a stark beauty which is totally unique, with wide-spread dunes, the moonlit glittering beauty and desert agility, marvellous palaces and temples, archaeological treasures, all combining to making it a city of lasting charm. Check in at the hotel. Stay for two nights in Bikaner. (B,L,D)


 Day 11- Bikaner 

After breakfast proceed for the city tour. Visit Junagarh Fort; built in 1587-93 by Raj Singh, it is made of red and pink sandstone, has 37 domes inside and is surrounded by high walls with a 30 feet trench around the fort and Lallgarh Palace; built in the memory of king Lal Singh, it is built of sandstone and is a fine blend of Western opulence and Eastern artistry, comprising of Belgium Chandeliers, exquisite engravings, fine collection of paintings, a magnificent flower garden, making it spectacular. The city offers over 500 years old culture and heritage, the very feel of Rajasthan enjoy Tonga ride through old Bikaner to witness locals sitting at their community squire and wedding to politics are discussed over a tea. Afternoon we visit to Camel breeding farm run by government before returning back to the hotel. (B,L,D)


Day 12: Bikaner – Jodhpur 

Today drive toJodhpur, bustling desert city the second largest city in Rajasthan and has landscape dominated by the massive Mehrangarh Fort topping a sheer rocky ridge. Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan, founded the city in the year 1459 and it is named after him. It was formerly the seat of a Princely state, also known as Marwar. Afternoon enjoy guided tour of Jodhpur, visiting the Mehrangarh Fort(Majestic Fort), one of the most impressive and formidable structures anywhere in India. Built by Rao Jodha, this 5km long Fort is on a 125m high hill and has some magnificent palaces with marvellously carved panel’s latticed window. The Fort Museum houses an exquisite collection of palanquins, howdahs (Elephant saddles), royal cradles, miniatures paintings, musical instruments, costumes and furniture. Also visit Jaswant Thada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs in white marble built in the year 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Within the main cenotaph are the portraits of various Jodhpur rulers. It is an architectural landmark of Jodhpur. Evening free to explore Sadar Bazaarin the heart of the city, this market is one of the largest markets of Indian Spices. Stay two nights in Jodhpur. (B,L,D) 


Day 13: Incredible Rural Experience

After breakfast pick up from your hotel and transfer to off- road point where 4X4 vehicles are parked and ready to go so that you can enjoy the experience of Desert. After Briefing/familiarization of vehicles, terrain, driving conditions, rules, drive into the wilderness. Visits to the actual homes of members of different communities like the Bishnois, Rajputs, Brahmins, and Raikas, and a chance to interact with them first hand. Also a chance to witness artisans and craftsmen engaged in their occupation.  Visit to the potter, the weaver, the wood engraver, etc. Afternoon enjoy delicious picnic lunch at a scenic spot with a chance to relax or take a short nap under a tree, taking in the clean, crisp air. Also view the variety of wildlife that is abundant in this region like the Black Buck, Neel Gai (Blue Bull), Chinkara, desert fox, and the occasional wolf. Spotting the various species of local and migratory birds that make this a photographer’s paradise; like the Demoiselle Crane, various types of ducks and geese, etc. Later in the evening drop at your hotel before sun goes down. Day 14: Jodhpur Departure 

After leisurely breakfast tour finishes with transfer to Jodhpur airport and board flight to Delhi or Mumbai which connect to your onward journey. (B)
